Let the Dyes keep on coming. . .

I've been having some fun dying up a bunch of yarn nbow that I dropped my GIS (Independent Study) course. I was forced to, I never asked to. So this gave me some free time to experiment with my new dyes. I LOVE the yarn I'm using. It seems everyone is having a dying post, so I thought I'd add mine. =P
Below is "Aurelie." It had burnt orange, burgundy, dark purple and the ever slightest hint of green.

The next one I dyed 2 days ago is called "Sex Kitten." My friend Melissa likes punk themed things and I thought I'd dye up some yarn for her socks. This colourway has lime green, fuschia and jet black. I have fallen in love with this colourway. Just love it!

I'm also almost done with my Mountain Colour socks in the colourway "Fire Storm." Pictures coming soon. Right now I'm really excited for the new HARRY POTTER MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite one is the "sex kitten" one. But what ever possessed you to name it that?? Too many XXX movies, I suppose... lol, j/k. Maybe i'll have to name one of mine "sex on the beach," just like that great drink at the bars...

Im using Kool-aid. (read my comment on my "dye your fibers" page, under yours.) I really need to find out what colors make black, and teal & seagreen. Now, Jewel & Dominicks in my area only have one type of green & 2 (but really only 1 since its the same damn stuff)types of blue. The next time you go grocery shopping, can you see if they have something seagreen or baby teal,...I thought they used to have something out there like that.... grrr. I hate how there are so many frickin colors out there, but I can't seem to find where they sell the really cool ones. I have like every shade of read and stuff already, though. And the basic other colors.

Oh, and I ordered 7 more skeins of yarn.... I've been itching (ALREADY) to dye more yarn!!! I think 7 might not be enough. lol.

Came to your link from The Loopy Ewe... Love the yarn that you've dyed! (And all the socks you've knit!) Are you a student at Iowa? My daughter is 'Iowa Girl' on Sheri's blog (because we live in Iowa :-)!) Also, she'll be attending Iowa in the fall. Go Hawkeyes!

I like the first skein a lot. If I had the time I think dyeing would be so much fun.

Yes I do. I just bought it from your Etsy shop. Are you going to be at the sock club this weekend?

You don't need to wind it for me unless you really want to. I have two ball winders right now :) I plan on making myself a yarn swift sometime soon or maybe make Josh do it.
